A useful motion system behaves like grammar. It gives structure to meaning through repeated rules, not isolated effects.

In interface design, motion grammar can define how objects enter, leave, respond, relate, and transfer focus. These rules make product behavior feel coherent across screens.

The most important question is not whether an animation is beautiful. The question is whether it makes the next state easier to understand.
